岩手県陸前高田市 斜面宿泊施設計画-1

「斜面集落計画-1」の建設会社と、陸前高田の高台に多目的な施設をつくる計画があり、ここでも、自然の山の斜面地を活かすことを考えました。斜面上にあるのは分棟型の宿泊施設、中間に連棟型の宿泊施設、手前に音楽ホール。陸前高田は震災で産業そのものがなくなってしまったので、こうした斜面地を使ってもう一度、あらたな産業を興そうというのがこの計画の目的でもありました。ひとつの業種ではなく、さまざまな目的の施設があることで、お互いに相乗効果を生むことができます。さらにこの敷地の上のほうに、陸前高田の伝統的な民家が新築されていて、それらと連携することでひとつの文化エリアにしたい。陸前高田は気仙大工と呼ばれる技術者集団を排出した場所で、いまも高齢化はしていますが腕のいい大工たちが残っています。こうした新しい現場で現代の気仙大工チームをつくり、若い世代に技術を伝承させたいという願いも込めています。
Slope Accommodation Facility Plan 1,
Rikuzen-Takata City, Iwate Prefecture

Together with the construction firm involved in Slope Community Plan 1, we conceived a plan to utilize the natural mountain slope for building a multipurpose facility on high ground in Rikuzen-Takata. Separated accommodation facilities can be seen on the slope; connected accommodation facilities can be seen in the center; and a music hall is situated in the front. Since Rikuzen-Takata lost its industrial base in the disaster, this plan to utilize slopes also had the objective of establishing new industries. Moreover, by building facilities with various purposes rather than targeting only a single business category, the intention was to generate synergies. Also, since private houses in the traditional Rikuzen-Takata style were being newly constructed above this site, we wanted to create a single cultural area that connected with these. Rikuzen-Takata is home to skilled craftsmen known as Kesen carpenters, and some of them still live in the city, even though they are advanced in years. In this project, we also wanted to form a team of modern Kesen carpenters and have them pass on their techniques to the younger generation.
