独立後、「施主」との対話を重ねながら質の高い建物をつくる数寄屋建築集団「三角屋」を立ち上げました。 良質な「素材」をたずさえ、「設計士と大工」とともに、長らく三角屋の中心メンバーとして経験を積みました。 しだいに建物をつくるだけではなく、建物をより充実した「場」とするために、「風土」から学び、「文化」をふまえ、 調度などのものづくりをプロデュースする「構匠」が必要なのではとおもい、2012年に「六角屋」を始動させました。

　「六角屋」は、「施主」と「素材」と「設計士・職人」に、「風土」と「文化」と「構匠」をくわえた6つのフィー ルドをあわせもつ組織です。これまで大事に関係を築いてきた卓越したものづくりの人々とともに「本当にいいもの」 から生まれる豊かで楽しい「場や事」をひとつずつ整えていきたいと考えています。職人達の大切な技術の進化 と次世代への継承にも貢献できるよう想いを込めて取り組んで参ります。

　プロジェクトでは、施主から職人まで、それぞれの立場で「お題」と向き合い、とことん対話を重ねます。 その土地らしさを引き出し、職人に最高の仕事をしてもらい、施主が場の本質を受け取って、その使い手となる ために、六角屋は、施主と職人のあいだをやわらかくつなぐ架け橋となります。そしてそれが六角屋にしか提供で きない価値だと思っています。

　日本およびアジアの優れた職人や、次の世代によい景色を残したいと強く感じている人とともに、さまざまな仕事を手掛けていきたいです。ご一緒させていただけることを楽しみにしております。

　After independence, I launched the sukiya-zukuri style architecture group “Sankakuya” for constructing high quality buildings based on thorough dialog with “clients” . Endowed with good quality “raw materials” , and together with “designers and carpenters” , I gained much experience as a key member of Sankakuya over a long period. On gradually coming to realize the need for “artificers” able to not simply construct buildings but make buildings into more complete “places” by coordinating the manufacture of furnishings, etc. while considering “climate” and “culture” , I launched “Rokukakuya” in 2012.

　Rokukakuya is an organization that combines six fields: “the client” , “raw materials” , “designers and artisans” , “climate” , “tradition” , and “Artificers” . Having carefully nurtured relationships with outstanding manufacturing experts, together we aim to prepare abundant and enjoyable “places and things” that are born from “the truly good” . We approach our work with the desire to also contribute to evolving the precious technologies of artisans and passing them onto future generations.

　In a project, from clients to artisans, we strive to confront “tasks” from our respective standpoints and follow up with thorough dialog. To elicit the local character, have artisans conduct their best work, and enable clients to use places while appreciating their intrinsic quality, Rokukakuya acts as a bridge for gently connecting clients and artisans. I believe that this is the unique value that Rokukakuya can provide.

　Together with outstanding artisans in Japan and Asia and people who have a strong desire to pass on fine scenery to future generations, we hope to undertake various jobs. We look forward to working with you.
